Innovation Consultants Collaborate for Rail 

In a groundbreaking first for firms working in the innovation space, InnoCentive and IXC teamed up at the end of last year to explore ways of pooling their different but complementary expertise. The result of that move has secured this new partnership a major new contract to jointly develop a new Competition for the Rail Industry.

Caroline Bishop, Managing Director at IXC- who led the consortium for IXC- did so because she believes “you cannot encourage your clients to partner with others if you yourself do not do likewise.”  Talking about this opportunity, she says “this is a great way to demonstrate how innovation intermediaries and consultants can add further value to the clients they serve by pooling their resources and expertise when appropriate to do so.”

Jonathan Slater, Director at InnoCentive, and Howard Farbrother, the lead Director at IXC, are already working on this exciting new challenge and expect that the experience should enable this new consortium to seek further opportunities for collaborative work.
